Market Hall
Thirty stalls under a Victorian glass roof every Saturday, and a street-food kitchen every evening.
- Address
- Market Square
- Open
- Sat 9:00–15:00, kitchen daily 17:00–22:00
The hall was built in 1886 for the canal’s grain trade and stood empty for forty years. Now it holds the Saturday market (vegetables, bread, cheese, flowers, secondhand books) and, every evening, a kitchen run by a different cook each month.
